Lagrange Award for the best PhD Thesis on Multibody Dynamics

The Springer outstanding PhD thesis prize, also denominated as Lagrange Award for the best PhD research on Multibody Dynamics has been established in 2017 by Springer and the IFToMM Technical Committee for Multibody Dynamics with the aim of recognizing the outstanding achievements of a young researcher (under 35 years old) at the early stage of their scientific career. CREB’s FabMeetup about Innovative Bio Technologies

The UPC Research Centre for Biomedical Engineering (CREB) presented ten different projects about Innovative Bio Technologies at FabCafe Barcelona (C/ Bailén, 11) during two FabMeetup sessions, held on February 15th and May 25th. Alfons Carnicero and Míriam Febrer awarded at “Diada de l’Enginyer” 2017

Alfons Carnicero and Míriam Febrer, members of the BIOMEC Lab at the Research Centre for Biomedical Engineering (CREB), have won, respectively, the Award to the Best Master's Thesis and a Scholarship for the PhD Thesis given by the Association of Industrial Engineers of Catalonia. Evaluation of gait symmetry in paediatric patients with hemiparesis

Belén Hidalgo presented her Master’s thesis entitled “Gait kinematics and symmetry in patients with hemiparesis using an audio feedback device” on December 16th at University of Zaragoza. Focal vibration device for the rehabilitation of patients with SCI

Alfons Carnicero, Master’s student of the Biomechanical Engineering Lab (BIOMEC), defended his Master’s thesis “Development of a vibrating device to enhance gait in patients with incomplete spinal cord injuries” on October 26th at ETSEIB (UPC) achieving the maximum grade. Two papers presented at the Meeting of the ESB Spanish Chapter

On October 24th and 25th, the VI Meeting of the Spanish Chapter of the European Society in Biomechanics (ESB) took place in the School of Industrial Engineering of the University of Extremadura in Badajoz. BIOMEC participated in ICNR 2016 and WeRob 2016 in Segovia

Members of the Biomechanical Engineering Lab (BIOMEC) attended the 3rd International Conference on Neurorehabilitation (ICNR 2016) and the 2nd International Symposium on Wearable Robotics (WeRob 2016), held in La Granja de San Ildefonso (Segovia) from October 18th to 21st, 2016. BIOMEC researchers attended the Cybathlon Symposium in Zürich
